The SyncTraX real-time tumor-tracking system, developed by Shimadzu in Kyoto, Japan, is an advanced medical technology that continuously monitors the position of tumors during radiotherapy sessions. The system utilizes four sets of x-ray tubes and can track fiducial markers in real-time with kV-images. If the fiducial markers are not found in their planned position the treatment beam can be paused.
